Web Browsers
This section describes the required settings for the web browser to connect to Easy Administration View.
JavaScript Settings
Easy Administration View uses JavaScript. If JavaScript is disabled in the web browser, enable it. Because it is enabled by default, JavaScript does not need to be enabled unless the user disabled the setting.
For the procedure to enable JavaScript, refer to the Help of the browser.
Proxy Settings
The performance is not guaranteed when accessing Easy Administration View via the proxy server. If a proxy is being used, add the storage system address to the proxy exception list in the Network Settings.
Cache Settings
If old cache information is being used by the web browser, it may cause unexpected behavior. Set the web browser to clear the cache when it is closed. The following shows the procedure.
For Microsoft® Edge
Click
("Settings and more") on the top right of the screen > "Settings" > "Privacy, search, and services".Under "Clear browsing data", click "Choose what to clear".
Click "Cached images and files".
For Google Chrome
Click
("More") on the top right of the screen > "Settings" > "Privacy and security".Click "Cookies and other site data".
Turn on "Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows".
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen
If Microsoft Defender SmartScreen is enabled, it may cause unexpected behavior. To use Microsoft® Edge, disable Microsoft Defender SmartScreen. The following shows the procedure.
Click
("Settings and more") on the top right of the screen > "Settings" > "Privacy, search, and services".Under "Security", turn off "Microsoft Defender SmartScreen".
HTTPS Communication
Easy Administration View uses HTTPS. To use a self-signed SSL certificate, advanced browser settings are not required. However, a warning message related to the security certificate appears. To use the certificate issued by the certificate authority, register the certificate in the web browser. The SSL server key that is required to issue certificates can be obtained in Web GUI (Normal View). Refer to "ETERNUS Web GUI User's Guide" for details.
Cookie Settings
Easy Administration View uses cookies for screen control. If cookies are blocked on the browser, change the setting to allow the browser to save and read cookies.
Because they are not blocked by default, the cookie setting does not need to be enabled unless the user changed the setting.
For the procedure to change the cookie setting, refer to the Help of the browser.
