Preparation
The RESTful API does not support the features required to prepare for using the Advanced Copy. Refer to "Configuration Guide (Basic Setup)" to perform preliminary steps such as registering a copy license and setting the copy table size. Also, to create an "REC" Copy Session, make some preliminary arrangements such as port mode configuration, copy path configuration, and REC buffer configuration.
With the RESTful API, when you create "OPC", "QuickOPC", "SnapOPC", and "SnapOPC+" Copy Sessions, you also create the destination volume at the same time. Therefore, it is not necessary to create a destination volume in advance. Note that before you create an "REC" Copy Session, you must create a destination volume.
In the RESTful API, destination volumes for "OPC", "QuickOPC", "SnapOPC", and "SnapOPC+" only support TPV. This eliminates the need to create a generation-management volume (SDV) and a volume for storing copied data (SDPV).
