Host Affinity Creation
This function creates a new host affinity by specifying already registered "Host Group", "CA Port Group", and "LUN Group".
The host accesses the volumes via the defined paths. When host affinity is configured, the volumes that are referenced by hosts can be restricted.
The number of hosts that can be associated with the CA port in the host affinity setting is the total number of the following. The maximum is 256.
The number of member hosts in each host group that is associated with the CA port
The number of hosts that do not belong to the host group that is associated with the CA port
A host can be a member of multiple host groups. In addition, a CA port can be a member of multiple CA port groups. However, only one LUN group can be allocated to a combination of host and port when configuring host affinity.
For host affinity creation, refer to "When "Host Group – CA Port Group" is Selected for "Target Connection"" or "When "Host – CA Port" is Selected for "Target Connection"" of "Operating Procedures" in "Create Host Affinity" of "Web GUI User's Guide".
