Login
Log in to ETERNUS Web GUI to start the operation. The ETERNUS Web GUI operation screen appears.
The menu that is displayed depends on the role that is applied for the user account.
If a login is attempted while 16 users are already logged in to ETERNUS Web GUI, an error screen appears. When this occurs, note the error message and try logging in again after completing the required operation.
"Software" is the dedicated role that is used for external software. A user account with the "Software" role cannot log in to ETERNUS Web GUI.
When another user is already logged in and is performing one of the following operations, a warning message appears and some functions cannot be used. Confirm the current Web GUI usage state and start the login operation.
When applying controller firmware
When applying disk firmware
When performing the RAID group diagnosis
When performing the disk diagnosis
If a user account with the "Password Policy" setting enabled is used to log in and the "Maximum Password Age" of the relevant user account has expired, the [Change Password] screen appears. Users cannot log in until the password is changed.
If a user account with the "Lockout Policy" setting enabled is used to log in and the number of failed authentications exceeds the "Lockout Threshold", the relevant user account is locked out. The lockout is not released until the specified "Lockout Duration" passes.
Users assigned with a tenant cannot log in from ETERNUS Web GUI (Normal View) (hereinafter referred to as Normal View). Use ETERNUS Web GUI (Easy Administration View) (hereinafter referred to as Easy Administration View).
When logging in to Easy Administration View, perform the following.
Connect using https.
Connect to the Main CM.
Logging in to Easy Administration View is not permitted under the following conditions.
When the RESTful API function is disabled
When the storage system is in the "Not Ready" state
Specifying a user policy (Password Policy and Lockout Policy) can improve the security level of the password. Refer to "Modify User Policy" in "Web GUI User's Guide" for details.
One user policy can be specified in the ETERNUS DX. Select whether to enable or disable the user policy for each user account when creating new user accounts or when editing existing user accounts. A user policy can also be set for the default user IDs ("root" and "f.ce"). Refer to "Setup User Account" in "Web GUI User's Guide" for details.
The procedure for logging in is as follows:
In the login screen, select the language (English or Japanese).
Enter the User ID and Password.
The User ID and the Password vary depending on which account is being used to log in.
For the initial user account, refer to "Initial User Account" in "Settings" of "Login" in "Web GUI User's Guide".
Select the Web GUI display mode (view) to be used.
To log in to Easy Administration View, select the "Login to Web GUI with Easy Administration View" checkbox.
To log in to Normal View, clear the checkbox.
Click the [Login] button.
The operation screen appears.
CautionIf the input error occurs, enter the User ID and Password again to log in to the ETERNUS DX.
If the "Maximum Password Age" of the user account has expired, the [Change Password] screen appears. Input "Old Password", "New Password", and "Confirm New Password" to change the login password.
If the number of failed logins exceeds the specified "Lockout Threshold", the relevant user will not be able to log in. Wait until the lockout state is automatically released or ask the administrator who manages the user account to disable the "Lockout Policy" for the locked out user account. Refer to "Setup User Account" in "Web GUI User's Guide" for details.
