Set up the multipath.conf file in ETERNUS AB/HB series - Linux (SAS)
The multipath.conf file is the configuration file for the multipath daemon, multipathd.
The multipath.conf file overrides the built-in configuration table for multipathd.
| For OS versions RHEL8.4 and later, and SLES15.3 and later, our recommends using the default settings as provided. |
If the OS version is RHEL8.3 or earlier, or SLES15.2 or earlier, the ETERNUS AB/HB series multipath setting is not set by default.
Therefore, set the /etc/multipath.conf file as follows:
devices {
device {
vendor "(LSI|FUJITSU)"
product "ETERNUS_AHB"
path_grouping_policy group_by_prio
detect_prio yes
prio rdac
path_checker rdac
hardware_handler "1 rdac"
failback immediate
features "2 pg_init_retries 50"
no_path_retry 30
retain_attached_hw_handler yes
product_blacklist "Universal Xport"
}
}
| If any internal disks or other devices are to be excluded from the multipath configuration, specify the device names in the "blacklist" section. |
