Delete host

The delete host command deletes one or more hosts.

Supported Series

This command applies to any individual storage system, including the ETERNUS AB3100, ETERNUS AB6100, ETERNUS HB1100/HB1200/HB1300/HB1400, ETERNUS HB2100/HB2200/HB2300/HB2400/HB2500/HB2600, and ETERNUS HB5100/HB5200, as long as all SMcli packages are installed.

Roles

To execute this command on an ETERNUS AB3100, ETERNUS AB6100, ETERNUS HB1100/HB1200/HB1300/HB1400, ETERNUS HB2100/HB2200/HB2300/HB2400/HB2500/HB2600, or ETERNUS HB5100/HB5200 storage system, you must have the Storage Admin role.

Syntax

delete host [hostName]

Parameters

Parameter Description

host

The name of the host that you want to delete. Enclose the host name in square brackets ([ ]). If the host name has special characters, you must enclose the host name in double quotation marks (" ") inside square brackets.

Notes

A host is a computer that is attached to the storage system and accesses the volumes on the storage system through the host ports on the host.
